Well what a day this has been. It started in relative tranquility, watching The Sound of Music for Heather’s first time and starting to read C.S. Lewis’ “The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe.”
We were woken by Brian’s cousin coming for a visit, after which we lounged around in our undress uniforms.
Being in a city once more, coming home to all the lights being off from a blown fuse, and walking along darkened alleyways has made Heather and I feel less comfortable and jumping at every noise. We feel like we want to move on but we are hoping it is merely tonight and that the feeling will pass.
It would be very difficult to give up free accommodation and the creature comforts of a home just because of squeamish feelings cause by phantoms and too long in the county. After all, how can I find the perfect pen is we avoid the cities?
